The nonprofit organization Interkulturelle Bildung Hamburg e.V. (IBH) was founded in 1993 to promote educational, academic, and cultural development.
bibis—the educational arm of the Bielefeld School Association—was founded in 1987, operates in accordance with the guidelines of the Continuing Education Act for North Rhine-Westphalia, and has been recognized by the Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia as an adult education institution. bibis sees itself as a bridge between language and culture.
IfS Institute for Languages – Kassel
As an adult education institute, the IfS operates in three areas: “German as a Foreign Language” (DaF)—including integration courses—English and Business English, as well as instruction in European and non-European foreign languages. The institute has been in operation since 1999 in Kassel, a medium-sized city in central Germany.
Founded in 1989 as a spin-off of the Faculty of Philosophy at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, the IIK Düsseldorf is today one of the most successful university-affiliated educational providers in Germany.
